Structural Support Features

1)Arch Support : Check for footbeds if it support the natural arch. Flat, unsupported designs lead to“ functional flat feet  ”and misalignment (e.g., ankle/knee pain, lumbar strain) . Without arch support , people cannot walk a long way .

2)Heel Height : Ensure heels are ≤2.5 cm to maintain natural gait mechanics .

3)Flexibility Points: Bend the sole. Quality clogs flexibility only at the forefoot  (aligned with toe joints), not the midfoot.  Midfoot flexibility weakens stability .

Durability & Material Integrity 

- Cross-Linking Density:     

High-quality EVA undergoes controlled cross-linking during manufacturing, enhancing thermal stability and reducing permanent deformation under pressure. Research confirms cross-linked EVA retains shape better under stress .

- Density Indicators:     

Denser EVA feels heavier and less porous. Lightweight, foam-like textures suggest low density and not durable .
